On Saturday, September 28, BTS' Jimin’s solo track Who won the title of the 2024 (RED) Song of the Summer. Jimin's solo track first appeared on the non-profit organization (RED)'s list of the top 32 songs of the summer.

For the third year, (RED) chose the 2024 song of the summer. According to (RED), the song of summer is vital since music is the only global language. Since it encapsulates the worldwide spirit and pop culture all at once, it has become an annual trend.

The (RED) Song of Summer is algorithmically curated, analytically based, and selected by fans and listeners. Cross-cultural data comes from Apple Music, Billboard, social sentiment, and virality. Then (RED) lets listeners vote for “Song of the Summer.”

(RED) shared the playlist of 32 songs of the summer for 2024 via Apple Music. Besides Jimin's WHO, the other songs on the list are Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso, Beyonce's Freedom, Billie Eilish's BIRDS OF A FEATHER, NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye, and so on.

On September 21, the South Korean media site OSEN reported that Jimin's WHO maintained its dominance on the UK Official Singles chart for nine weeks in a row and ascended to position #50, increasing two places since its release. As of writing this article, BTS' Jimin's track is ranked at #40 on the stated chart.

Park Jimin's single achieved further attention by maintaining its position on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for the eighth consecutive week as of September 17, 2024. The track achieved the #8 position on the Top 10 chart, which was led by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' recent debut, Die With A Smile.
