Alo Yoga Korea, led by CEO Marco De George, has announced plans to launch the first flagship store of the premium American yoga brand Alo Yoga in Seoul this April. This flagship location will be near Dosan Park in Gangnam, a high-end area known for luxury shopping and lifestyle destinations.
Following the selection of BLACKPINK's Jisoo as a global ambassador last year, Alo Yoga has now named BTS’ Jin as their latest brand ambassador in October 2024. Together, they will be part of the brand's global wellness campaign, further cementing Alo Yoga’s reputation as a luxury lifestyle and fitness brand.
When Jin was announced as the ambassador, he was asked by Rolling Stone to speak a few words about Alo Yoga. He said,
"What I really like about Alo Yoga is how they effortlessly combine comfort, style, and purpose while also emphasizing both physical and mental well-being, which is something I deeply value."
The store will occupy the Jumyung Building, located between the prestigious Hermès Dosan Park and Maison Southcape. Spanning six floors and covering an impressive 6,000 square meters, the space is designed to go beyond just retail, creating an immersive luxury and wellness experience for visitors.
It will feature interactive spaces highlighting the brand's luxurious yet holistic approach to fitness and mindfulness. To enhance the natural vibe, the building’s exterior will showcase wood elements, while the interiors will have a minimalistic design that places the spotlight on Alo Yoga’s products.
The flagship will also include unique amenities such as a rooftop terrace, a garden space for relaxation and therapy, and private sections catering to VIP customers. These additions aim to provide a blend of luxury and tranquility in line with Alo Yoga's ethos.
Founded in 2007 in Los Angeles by Danny Harris and Marco De George, Alo Yoga has quickly become a leading name in premium yoga wear. Over the years, it has grown into a global brand, competing directly with industry giants like Lululemon.
The upcoming flagship store in Seoul reflects Alo Yoga’s commitment to expanding its international presence while delivering unique, wellness-focused experiences to its customers.
