On Friday, October 11, 2024, HYBE label kicked off BTS' Jimin’s The Truth Untold exhibition organized in LeMERIDIEN moxy, 38, Myeongdong 8na-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. The exhibition will continue until Sunday, November 3. BTS' Jimin's solo albums FACE and MUSE are the focus of the exposition.
The display of the event also includes the numerous awards he won during his professional career as a K-pop idol. HYBE purportedly overlooked numerous significant awards received by Jimin that were not showcased during his exhibition.
The label's carelessness disheartened BTS' Jimin's supporters online. Consequently, the admirers of the WHO singer inundated the internet with their reactions to the absence of his prizes from the show.
“Where is 1 billion plaque? Hybe always finding ways to sabotage him,” stated one user on X, expressing their outrage.
Many other mixed responses to Jimin’s exhibition were seen on the internet. Some blamed HYBE for sabotaging BTS' Jimin’s image, while others mentioned his Spotify 1 Billion Plaque and LIAA Platinum Plaque for Like Crazy and WHO that were missing from the awards display.
“Oh, so that pic I saw earlier was the whole pic... I thought someone cropped out his awards or smth. Why tf are some of Jimin's most 'important' awards and certificates missing? RIAA and Spotify 1B plaques???” wrote a fan.
“Where is the LIAA Platinum Plaque for LIKE CRAZY? Where is the LIAA Double Platinum Plaque for LC? Where is the Spotify 1 BILLION Plaque for LC? Where is the LIAA Platinum Plaque for WHO? DO YOUR JOB! BIGHIT IS USELESS AND INCOMPETENT!” commented another X user.
“I thought as much and people say he's the company's favorite what they put there is not up to quarter of what Jimin won during the face era,” a fan wrote.
While one called BIGHIT "incompetent," another user on X referred to the HYBE label as "hilarious."
“Where’s all jm’s awards? You can’t do ur job properly even once?” expressed an admirer.
“Where’s Jimin’s billion plaque and many other awards missing??? Thought he’s a company favorite- they can’t even manage to put all awards he earned by himself properly???” remarked an admirer on X.
“I just wish they could put more of His Awards, his TMA and Spo billion plaque on the exhibition it doesn't matter still wont change the Fact He did it all Congratulations Jiminie,” a fan stated.
“Hybe is hilarious," another X user commented.
BTS' Jimin’s The Truth Untold exhibition covers stories behind his solo albums FACE and MUSE
On September 9, HYBE shared a notification for Jimin’s The Truth Untold exhibition, including insight into the exhibit and its ticket details via the Korean social media platform Weverse. The ticket sale commenced on September 10, and as stated in the notification, the price of each general ticket was 35,000 KRW (VAT included).
This exposition explores the unseen stories surrounding Jimin's solo albums—FACE and MUSE. While the former captured Jimin’s sincere emotions, the latter reflected his journey in finding inspiration around him.
“'FACE' captured Jimin’s sincere emotions as he asked himself questions whose answers resonated around the world. Following this, MUSE expressed his journey to find the inspiration surrounding him, which was presented as a fragrant serenade in Smeraldo Garden,” as mentioned on Weverse.
For the unversed, "Smeraldo" translates to "The Untold Truth" in the language of flowers. BTS' Jimin’s debut solo album FACE premiered on March 24, 2023. Therefore, his MUSE album became his second solo release, which came out on July 19, 2024.
Since December 2023, BTS' Jimin has been serving in the military. He enlisted with Jungkook, and they are expected to be released in June 2025.
