On October 5, 2024, BTS Island: In the SEOM announced WWH Live through their official X account. The X account added hashtags, including #IntheSEOM, #BTSIsland, and #Jin, sparking anticipation among the ARMYs that BTS' Jin would appear in the video game as a guest. Additionally, the date and time, October 30, 2024, 20:00 Korean Standard Time (KST) were mentioned in the caption.

For those unversed, BTS' Jin refers to himself as WWH, which stands for World Wide Handsome during his introduction. Subsequently, the fandom assumed that the male artist might appear in the SEOM live or play the game live. Multiple posts decoding the cryptic BTS Island: In the SEOM X post circulated on social media, and naturally, an X user tweeted:

"oMg!?!? Am I dreaming??"

Many fans also assumed that the recent announcement might be related to BTS' Jin's upcoming debut studio album, while others mentioned that he might play BTS Island: In the SEOM game live with them.

Recent activities of BTS' Jin

The BTS member was discharged from mandatory conscription as an active-duty soldier on June 12, 2024, after concluding the service for eighteen months. At the discharge ceremony, the group members welcomed him, and he subsequently arrived at the HYBE building to interact with ARMYs through Weverse live on the same day (June 12).

The idol organized an in-Festa event to commemorate the group's eleventh anniversary at Jamsil Arena on June 13, 2024. At the in-person FESTA event, he hugged 1000 ARMYs and delivered memorable performances on his hit tracks.

BTS's Jin served as the first torchbearer in the Paris Olympics torch relay 2024, representing South Korea. On July 14, 2024, during the Louvre Museum section of the relay, he executed the historic march, carrying the torch through Paris, France, on the French National Day or Bastille Day.

The male artist was also appointed as the global ambassador for the French luxury and watch brand FRED on July 8, 2024. In the following month, BTS' Jin was declared the global ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house Gucci through an Instagram post by the creative director Sabato De Sarno on August 8, 2024.
