In his review of the recent Netflix medical K-drama series, The Trauma Code Heroes on Call, Woo Chang stated the following through his post on Instagram threads, @woo_chang111:

"There's no love line, and it's good that there won't be any in the future (original writer Lee Nak-joon [of the webtoon, Trauma Center: Golden Hour] didn't use a love line. Actors Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, and Ha Young are so perfect. Storytelling is fast and cidery (fascinating)."

His review continued,

"The concept of Baek Kang-hyuk's character reflects the reality of the current severe trauma centre and the wishes of the original author."

The Trauma Code Heroes on Call is a recent Netflix K-drama series released on January 24, 2025. The show was adapted from the web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour by Hansanleega and Hongbichira, serialized in 2019 on Naver.

The plot revolves around a brilliant trauma surgeon, Baek Kang-hyuk, who gets transferred to a struggling university hospital.

When he joins the trauma team at the university hospital, he faces many clashes with the team members. This is due to his unorthodox methodologies. However, they soon join hands, and with Baek Kang-hyuk's leadership, they become a unified and skilled trauma center team.
