On October 15, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped the official promotion schedule of BTS' Jin's upcoming debut solo album, Happy. The pre-release track will be released on October 25 at 12 am ET (or 1 am KST on October 26). The forthcoming album features six tracks touching the themes of happiness, the journey to find one's dream, and keeping one's inner child alive.
Meanwhile, fans observed that the promotion schedule ends on November 15 and 16 with the question mark symbol "???" beside the dates. Since the album is set to release on November 15, fans became curious about what else could be scheduled for November 15 and 16.
This further reminded them of BTS and the members always using the "???" sign on their project schedules to hint at a special mini-concert or a livestream. For instance, BTS' Jungkook held a live mini-concert during his solo album (GOLDEN) promotion schedule.
In 2022, during BTS' Proof album release, "???" was mentioned beside the date "June 13, 2022." Jungkoom released his digital single My You for their 9th anniversary celebration, BTS Festa. BTS also performed Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment) and For Youth from their 2022 anthology album release at their Proof Live event, announcing their hiatus the next day.
Hence the "???" symbol on Jin's promotion schedule made fans nostalgic as they tried to decipher what could happen on November 15 and 16, 2024. One fan made light of the matter and wrote,
“And the Bangtan ??? saga continues.”
The BTS fandom expressed how well they remember what happened on "those dates" when BTS released their anthology album, Proof, in 2022, as it followed their temporary hiatus news. A few joked that these dates could mean a world tour.
"I've been here for all of those ??? But I can't remember what exactly did we get on those dates except for Proof," a fan wrote on X.
"And here I am again trapped in a never ending questioning what the f this mean," another fan added.
"... and as we know from history, it can only mean one thing: WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT (...not)," another fan wrote.
Some fans mentioned being traumatized by those "dates" which had "???" beside them. However, a few fans speculated that Jin might do a Super Tuna dance challenge with BTS' j-hope (nicknamed Hoba), who is set to be discharged from the military on October 17, 2024.
"Not a pop up please. Give me a cover w jhope of any track from the album," one fan said.
"I think I'm still traumatized by the proof one," another fan remarked.
"I say Super Tuna dance challenge with Hoba," one other fan wrote.
