BTS’ Jin dropped the special music video of the extended version of his widely popular song Super Tuna, on October 11, 2024. The extended version was released on BANGTAN TV's YouTube channel, where he is seen sharing his passion for fishing, focusing on catching a Tuna.

Super Tuna's original version was released on December 4, 2021, and the extended version was released on October 11, 2024, with additional lyrics and a new music video.

As the music video was dropped on BANGTAN TV's YouTube channel, several clips went viral on social media. One such clip that grabbed the attention of fans was where Jin is seen proposing to a Tuna fish, however, it's not for marriage.

The BTS member asked the Tuna to catch his bait and the Tuna agreed to it. The comical visuals of this scene made fans laugh as it appeared to be like a marriage proposal. Fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the special extended version of the song.

Fans praised the BTS vocalist's acting skills as they noticed his way of communicating with the Tuna.

“The way he's moving his mouth to communicate with the tuna HES AN ACTOR HES THE REAL DEAL,” another user added.
“NOT AT THIS BEING THE RESULT OF ME MANIFESTING SEOKJIN DOING BL PROJECT,” another fan said.
“This dude kissed a statue and now is gonna marry a tuna fish... His love life is just as miserable as mine,” one fan wrote.

Netizens noticed the details of the music video including Tuna's blushing over Jin's proposal.

“THE TUNA IS BLUSHING YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME,” one fan said.
“Really lost it at the tuna BLUSHING like this mv is so unserious,” another fan said.
“Imagine being the biggest boyband member in the world and not giving a f*k about serious concepts I ASPIRE TO BE HIM,” another fan wrote.

BTS’ Jin celebrates Jimin's birthday, shows Super Tuna special video on Weverse live

On October 10, BTS’ Jin started a Weverse live to celebrate Jimin's birthday which is around the corner. Although Jimin was born on October 13, Jin decided to celebrate it in advance while also showcasing the special video of Super Tuna's extended version on a tablet, which was barely visible to fans. A few hours later, the video was dropped on YouTube.

The Astronaut singer opened up about the preparations for the filming of the video and also how its release was scheduled around Jimin's birthday.

“I filmed it around.. 3 weeks? a month? Ago? and so we adjusted the schedule. So there was Jimin's birthday and J-hope's discharge date so we were thinking.. and we used Jimin's birthday. Jimin! I'll make sure I celebrate your birthday well!!”

Meanwhile, Jin was the first one to conclude his military service in June 2024, and since has been actively participating in variety show appearances.

His solo variety show Run Jin has aired 9 episodes so far since July 30, 2024, featuring celebrities like South Korean actor Lee Yi-kyung, TXT's Yeonjun, Kwaktube, Ji Seok-jin, and more. Run Jin airs every Tuesday on the BTS' official YouTube channel BANGTAN TV.
