On August 1, 2024, netizens were stunned to see BTS' RM and MONSTA X's Joohoney in the same military event picture. In the picture, Kim Namjoon, aka RM, was seen representing the military band and Joohoney was seen as a teaching assistant.
The BTS leader was spotted practicing with his army band for today's Hwacheon Tomato Festival. Several clips of the two K-pop idols from the event appeared online, thrilling fans.
For the unversed, BTS' leader, Kim Namjoon, enlisted in the South Korean military on December 11, 2023. Later, several pictures of him being a part of the military band surfaced online in February 2024. Additionally, MONSTA X's Joohoney enlisted on July 24, 2023, and is in the same unit as Namjoon.

Meanwhile, fans of Namjoon and Joohoney were overjoyed to see them as their friendship has often delighted both BTS fans (ARMY) and MONSTA X fans (Monbebe). One fan wrote on X:

Others expressed their happiness in equal measure and flooded X with their tweets.
"JOOHEON AND NAMJOON TOGETHER IN THE MILITARY," one fan wrote.

Others emphasized the pair's bond because it is not common for idols in the K-pop industry to be friends outside of their professional lives.

BTS' RM shares his military pictures with MONSTA X's Joohoney on Instagram
On May 27, 2024, BTS' Namjoon shared several pictures with Joohoney on his Instagram story. They made silly faces in the pictures as they posed for the photo booth cameras.
Namjoon posted photo booth strips of himself and Joohoney in their uniforms and captioned his Instagram story with "Victory, 15th division." Joohoney quickly reposted the pictures on his Instagram story along with the text "No brain No pain brotha."
Meanwhile, in other news, despite his ongoing military service, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped Namjoon's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, on May 24, 2024. The album's title track, LOST! topped both the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart and the European Chart.
