An alleged LE SSERAFIM fan filed a complaint against BTS’ V at the Ministry of National Defense for military law violation after Min Hee-jin claimed receiving messages from him, as per South Korean outlet Sports Kyunghyang. On October 29, ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin appeared on Kim Young-dae's School of Music YouTube show and opened up about receiving birthday messages and support from V after he enlisted in the military on December 11, 2024.
The same day, the user named Ne*** made a post on a community platform sharing that they had made a formal complaint against the BTS member for violating military rules, which according to them prohibited soldiers from using mobile phones during the training period.
According to Sports Kyunghyang, the netizen shared information about the K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM and seemingly appeared to be their fan.
They wrote,
“This is a serious violation of military law, and I suspect that the higher-ups turned a blind eye to his cellphone use because he was a famous K-pop idol.”
However, according to Namdo News, the Military Manpower Administration allowed soldiers to use cell phones on weekends and public holidays for 1 hour during the training period. This policy was introduced for soldiers enlisting in the second half of 2023 for 6 months from July to December and was extended from January 2024.
Notably, when the soldiers are assigned to a unit following the basic training, they are allowed to use phones after work from 6 pm KST to 9 pm KST on workdays and 8:30 am KST to 9 pm KST on holidays.
