On July 16, 2024, ATEEZ officially announced their Japanese comeback with their fourth single, Birthday, via their official X account. The upcoming single Birthday is set to be released on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The group shared the news in a press release updated on their official ATEEZ-OFFICIAL-JP website:
"Thank you very much for your continued support for ATEEZ. It has been decided that the band will release their 4th JAPAN SINGLE 'Birthday' on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, which will be their first in about 7 months."

The pre-orders for the album began on July 16, 2024, at 6 pm KST. According to the press release, the first pressings of the album would include a lottery prize, also known as serial numbers, giving fans a chance to win events and prizes as a special bonus. Each EC site and CD shop would have a limited number of these bonuses.
ATEEZ will hold a rehearsal viewing event to commemorate the release of Birthday
On July 16, ATEEZ announced that a rehearsal viewing event would be held as a part of ATEEZ 2024 FANMEETING <ATINY'S VOYAGE: FROM A TO Z> in Japan to celebrate the release of their upcoming fourth Japanese single, Birthday.
A total of 200 people would be invited to attend the rehearsal viewing event on a specific date through a lottery. On each date, 150 people would be called for the 2024 FANMEETING <ATINY'S VOYAGE: FROM A TO Z> event by advance lottery, and 50 fans would be invited by lottery on the day.
According to the press release, the agency would conduct an advance lottery for those who make reservations and payments on the UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE rehearsal viewing lottery page and JAPAN OFFICIAL FANCLUB member-only benefits page. The performances are scheduled for August 22 at 6:30 pm KST at Tokyo Garden Theater and August 28 at 6:30 pm KST at Grand Cube Osaka.
The eight-member group will be making their first Japanese comeback after seven months. They previously released their third Japanese single, NOT OKAY, on February 28, 2024, and collaborated with the Japanese boy group BE: FIRST for HUSH-HUSH, released on July 1, 2024.
