BTS' Park Jimin released his pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, on June 28, 2024, at 1 PM KST. The music video was released on HYBE's official YouTube channel, HYBE LABELS. Notably, BIGHIT MUSIC (operated under HYBE) music producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and Evan made a surprise cameo appearance in the video.

Fans were surprised, as this marked the first time the company's music producers appeared in a music video. They were seen performing as the band's musicians. For the unversed, the BTS idol first introduced the name "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" in a quiz segment from Jimin's Production Diary released in November 2023.

Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and Evan accompanied the BTS idol, and they jokingly named themselves as the "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band." When the official tracklist of the Promise singer's upcoming solo album, MUSE, was revealed, fans were thrilled to see one of the seven tracks as Smeraldo Garden Marching Band. One fan wrote on X:

Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band is a colorful tribute to The Beatles

With help from South Korean rapper Loco, the pre-release song Smeraldo Garden Marching Band created a vibrant, lively rhythm and a vibrant ambiance by fusing hip-hop components with the big band sound. The song is a tribute to legendary music band, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (May 1967) and Yellow Submarine (1966).

The Beatles' album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, became famous for its psychedelic imagery and focused on cross-generational impact and contemporary music—a novice concept in the 1960s. Similarly, the legendary British band wrote their 1966 song, Yellow Submarine, in an attempt to write an upbeat and fun track for children.

Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band is a nod to both these iconic artistic projects by The Beatles. The idol's MV included kids playing "rock, paper, scissors" and dancing on a colorful field and vibrant field of sunflowers and rainbow.

Jimin's upcoming solo album, MUSE, will be released on July 19, 2024, and includes seven tracks. The album contains the title track, WHO, co-produced by Jimin, Pdogg, and the Grammy-nominated artist Jon Bellion.

Other tracks are Rebirth: INTRO, BE MINE, Interlude: SHOWTIME, the pre-release track Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, SLOW DANCE (Feat. Sofia Carson), and the December 2023 released solo single Closer Than This.
