On August 14, 2024, fans of BTS' Jin and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) were delighted when videos of Jin sharing a meal with the five-member group began circulating online. It was speculated that Jin joined the TXT members for a barbecue to celebrate the birthday of their youngest member, Huening Kai.
Additionally, posts on X reported that a fan had spotted the BTS star and a staff member at the mall shopping earlier that day. It seemed that the BTS idol bought gifts for Kai. Reportedly, he also paid for the meal later.
Fans of the Epiphany singer took to social media to express their appreciation for the singer-songwriter's gesture towards his juniors. A user on X, @kaehyth, wrote,
"best hyung forever"
For those unversed, hyung means older brother.
"The sweetest old brother we all can wish for," a fan wrote on X.
"Jin is so thoughtful! I am sure TXT appreciated the dinner together with their hyung very much. I hope someone posts a photo," another user commented.
"Seokjin paying for their whole meal and got gifts too? Ohmybod. He's the sweetest person on this goddamn planet. Hope he enjoyed his time with txt," a fan remarked.
Fans of BTS, known as ARMYs, and TXT, known as MOAs, often refer to themselves collectively as MOARMYs. Supporters of both groups shared their excitement at seeing the interaction between their favorite artists.
"OMG! I'M CRYING. We used to pray for days like this. My moa and army heart are overwhelming with love," a fan commented on X.
"MY MOARMY HEART I COULD CRY," another X user wrote.
"Jungkook celebrating yeonjun’s birthday and now jin celebrating huening kai’s birthday….. bts maknae celebrating the oldest txt member and oldest bts member celebrating txt’s maknae like y’all," a fan commented.
Previous interactions between Jin and other members of BTS with TXT
BTS has taken the role of an elder brother group to TXT, who share the same music label, BIG HIT MUSIC. While BTS debuted in 2013, TXT made their entrance in 2019.
During one of the live broadcasts, TXT's Soobin shared a story about how the Moon singer once wanted to have a meal with them but couldn't, so he sent them pizza instead. Now, he has finally had the chance to dine with them.
Last year, BTS' youngest member, Jungkook, was also spotted celebrating TXT's oldest member, Yeonjun's birthday. With Jin currently being the only member out of the military, fans jokingly mentioned that he has found new "brothers" to care for until his bandmates return.
Since his discharge in June, the BTS star has been busy shooting various content, appearing in variety shows for fans, and preparing for his highly anticipated solo album.
