On November 2, 2024, BTS Jimin's single WHO surpassed 900 million streams on Spotify. The song became the first and only track by an Asian act to achieve this feat in 2024. Additionally, it became the fastest song by an Asian act and a Korean soloist in Spotify history to surpass 903 million streams within 106 days.

Released on July 19, 2024, the song was released as the lead track of his second solo album, MUSE. The track was co-written by the BTS member, American Grammy-nominated musician Jon Bellion, and music producers Pdogg & GHSTLOOP. The song debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

WHO is the BTS artist's second song to top a Billboard chart. In 2023, his single Like Crazy debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first K-pop soloist to achieve this milestone in Billboard history. Furthermore, his second solo album, MUSE, ranked No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Fans rejoiced as the Grammy-nominated artist made history by surpassing 900 million Spotify streams in 106 days. One fan wrote on X:

Fans celebrated the K-pop idol's latest achievement on the social media platform.

"And now let's reach 1B cuz I love this bop and I wanna see people cry," a fan wrote.
"You know the song is good when people are still crying even after 4 months. Oh jimin the man that you are," another fan added.
"This is insane the song is only 4 months old congrats jimin!!!!!! king!!!!" another fan cheered.

Others hailed him as the "King of K-pop" for his steady feats and creating a "masterpiece."

"King of Kpop for a reason. He doesn’t need any help from others to shine," one fan said.
"Every song by JIMIN is a masterpiece, so happy Who is getting what it deserves!" another fan added.
"That's a fantastic achievement for Jimin! Surpassing 900 million streams on Spotify is a significant milestone," one other fan wrote.

BTS Jimin's WHO gets certified silver by BRIT Awards in the UK

On November 1, 2024, WHO was certified silver in the United Kingdom by BRIT Awards for selling over 200,000 CD units. The song became the fastest track by a K-pop soloist to achieve this milestone in 105 days.

Meanwhile, the song quickly rose to the top of the daily worldwide Spotify charts after its global release. The song became the BTS artist's highest-charting solo single in the UK when it debuted at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart on July 26, 2024.

Notably, Jimin became the first K-pop soloist to have his album, MUSE, debut at No. 1 on the UK iTunes Album Chart. The album also climbed to No. 1 in other 86 countries. Furthermore, WHO topped the iTunes chart in 112 countries, including the US, the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, and more. The song also opened at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 on August 3, 2024, in the US.


In other news, BTS Jimin enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023, alongside his bandmate Jungkook. His album, MUSE, was released by BIGHIT MUSIC in July 2024.
