On October 24, 2024, BTS' Jungkook achieved a historic milestone as his song Seven became the first track by an Asian artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement cements the artist's place in the exclusive "2 billion club," further highlighting his global influence.

Seven, featuring American rapper Latto in its explicit version, was released on July 14, 2023, as part of the lead-up to Jungkook's debut solo album GOLDEN. The accompanying music video starred renowned Korean actress Han So-hee, further boosting the track's appeal.

Just weeks before this historic feat, Seven had already broken records, becoming the most-streamed song by an Asian artist on Spotify, surpassing BTS' hit Dynamite. Fans across the world celebrated this remarkable achievement on social media, flooding platforms with congratulatory messages for the idol. An X user @aceuu84646 wrote,

Jungkook, even while serving in the military, continues to break records on global music charts, solidifying his position as a dominant figure in the industry. Among his recent achievements, his song Shot Glass of Tears recently crossed 100 million streams, his 17th song to do so, setting a record as the K-pop soloist with the most songs surpassing this mark.

It became the first album by an Asian soloist to have all songs reach 100 million streams each on Spotify, setting a record as the fastest album by a K-pop act to achieve this.
