Rosé's APT. gains another official recognition
Consequence, a digital publication known for its coverage of music and pop culture, releases an annual “K-pop Yearbook” to spotlight significant moments and achievements within the K-pop industry. In 2024, several artists received special recognition, with Rosé of BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars’ song APT. earning the title of "Collaboration of the Year."
Released on October 18, APT. not only claimed this prestigious honor but was also listed as one of the “200 Best Songs of the Year,” ranking at #166. The publication praised the song's impact.
Describing the song and announcing the achievement in their words, it said,
"Ahead of her now-released solo album, rosie, ROSÉ kicked things off with a bang. When the BLACKPINK member linked up with Bruno Mars for the irresistible “APT.,” which we named one of the 200 best songs of the year, they uncovered a creative match made in heaven.
It continued,
Bruno can’t help but arrive to any collaboration with buckets of charm and the ability to make any chorus melody completely addictive, while ROSÉ’s energy and enthusiasm around the song was equally contagious.
On the same day as the announcement, APT. achieved an incredible milestone, becoming the song by an Asian act with the most weeks at #1 on the Billboard Global 200. With eight consecutive weeks at the top, it surpassed Jungkook’s Seven featuring Latto, which previously held the position for seven weeks.
