"BIGHIT BE FAIR TO JUNGKOOK" - Fans express disappointment with Bighit Music as they allegedly remove subtitles from the BTS member's Qatar Vlog

BTS’ agency BIGHIT MUSIC received criticism from fans for allegedly removing subtitles from a recently released video featuring Jungkook. On July 9, BIGHIT MUSIC dropped unseen videos on YouTube of each BTS member's solo activities including Jungkook's visit to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup performance.

While subtitles were available for the videos featuring other bandmates, fans noticed that the subtitles for the video titled “Jungkook unwinds in Qatar” were unavailable. Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to call the agency and YouTube team to look into the issue and get it fixed.

YouTube’s official X account responded to one of the fan's tweets showcasing concern about the subtitles. YouTube stated that the decision to add subtitles is up to the owner of the channel and if not added, YouTube generates automatic subtitles.

Netizens highlighted that although the subtitles in different languages were available on the day of the video's release, it was later unavailable making them anxious. To this YouTube once again responded with:

“It's up to the channel owner if they'll add captions to their videos.”

This sparked controversy as fans were convinced that BIGHIT MUSIC had allegedly removed the subtitles. The Qatar Vlog has surpassed over a million views however, international fans might face difficulty understanding it, as the subtitles were unavailable. Fans further reacted with the phrase “BIGHIT BE FAIR TO JUNGKOOK.”

“The fact whenever this company sees him do well they do something weird this needs to be done manually like bfr it's a bb they can't leave even THAT alone yet he's getting autoplay, playlisting and what not allegations.”- another fan added
“ALL the subtitles for the latest Bangtan Bomb "Jung Kook unwinds in Qatar" have suddenly been removed. Could you please investigate this issue as soon as possible?”- a fan wrote

Fans continued to express their disappointment in BIGHIT MUSIC due to the issue involving the BTS member's vlog.

“This company never fails to show their anti behavior towards jk his organic success bothers so many including the ones in hybe building lmao.”- a user wrote
“This is the respect international armies get from this company...what can I say...Jung Kook and the boys really deserve a better record company.” - a fan stated
“It’s not a YouTube issue. Only the channel owner can remove the subtitles.”- a fan added

However, due to the demands of fan, the BTS' management company fixed the issue and generated subtitles in other languages.

“Thanks to the massive demand, they have returned the subtitles.”- a user commented.
“All subtitles (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish) have been restored on the Bangtan Bomb “Jung Kook Unwinds in Qatar” after more than 17 hours of them being deleted”- a fan stated
“subtitles are back, ARMYs.”- a user stated

Recently, the agency dropped the Bangtan Bomb “Jungkook unwinds in Qatar,” showing how the Seven singer spent his leisure time in the Middle Eastern country. The vlog focused on Jungkook working on his swimming skills while also practicing the choreography of Dreamers before his performance.


Currently, Jungkook is serving in the military to fulfill his national duties and is expected to be discharged in 2025.
