Jimin's Muse title track WHO surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify
BTS Jimin dropped his second solo mini-album titled Muse on July 19, 2024, through BigHit Music and distributed by YG Plus and HYBE. It featured seven tracks, including Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson), Be Mine, Who, and Closer Than This.
On August 9, 2024, BTS Jimin's Muse title track, WHO, surpassed 200 million streams on the audio streaming platform, Spotify, and emerged as the fastest solo track by a Korean soloist in history to achieve the milestone. It was also crowned as the fastest song by an Asian act in 2024 to accomplish the feat within twenty days. The record became the third most streamed 2024 song by a K-pop act on Spotify.
Meanwhile, WHO bagged its first music show win on M Countdown as of August 8, 2024. The idol spent a consecutive second week with his track, WHO, at the No.1 position on both Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, as shown in the data released by the American magazine publication on August 6, 2024.
The title track became the longest-running No.1 solo song by a K-pop soloist on the Billboard Global 200 singles chart in history. It also achieved a new milestone by climbing a new position and occupying No.12 on the Billboard Hot 100 as of August 6, 2024. It emerged as the highest-charting song by a Korean soloist/act in 2024.
In recent news, Jimin's travel variety show Are You Sure?!, aired the first two episodes on Disney+ on August 8, 2024. He embarked on an interesting journey vising places, including the USA, Jeju Island, and Sapporo, with fellow group member Jungkook. The program, featuring eight episodes, will run till September 19, 2024.
The idol began mandatory military service on December 12, 2023. He joined the Fifth Infantry Division, following the completion of five weeks of basic military training.
