On Wednesday, October 2, TXT held its ACT: PROMISE concert in Jakarta, Indonesia. The group has been traveling across several cities for their ongoing world tour. However, several netizens and attendees were angered at the tour arrangements for the shows in Indonesia.
People expressed that BIGHIT MUSIC, the group's agency, underestimated the group's fanbase and popularity in Indonesia. This was because of the fact that the attendees faced several issues during the show. Initially, many fans were upset that the show was scheduled on a weekday rather than on a weekend when concerts are usually expected to be scheduled.
Another issue fans were displeased about was the unannounced changes in the venue. The concert was expected to take place over the span of two halls at the venue. However, it was shifted to one hall at some point and no information regarding the same reached the attendees.
This not only had many fans fitting into a smaller space, but also failed to provide the promised and expected view of the concert that the attendees booked for. Additionally, it also could've been dangerous for the people who were gathered at the venue, leading to suffocation and overcrowding.
People also expressed that the concert lacked theatrics with the stage set and there were no "send-off" benefits for the attendees. Lastly, people also complained that the venue banned the attendees from carrying food and water inside, and there was no water handed out at the venue.
Given that Jakarta was reaching higher temperatures during the concert with a heat warning, the attendees were at a greater risk of danger. Therefore, fans expressed their concerns and shared their issues with the TXT's ACT: PROMISE World Tour concert in Jalart to both Applewood Indonesia and BIGHIT MUSIC through hashtags like #APPLEWOODIncompetent and #BIGHITnotFAIR.
Here are a few fan reactions:
"why do u keep on underestimating their fame in jakarta when one hall can BARELY contain all of this. stop disrespecting moanas + txt and actually give them a bigger venue next tour," said a fan on X.
"Can’t believe I spent idr 3 millions for this bad view. I supposed to get the center view and yall suddenly change the seatplan without announcement?" added another fan.
"we kindly request that our complaints be taken into consideration for future concerts. we urge you to treat us as the large fandom we are, as txt is huge here," expressed a netizen.
More fans expressed their anger and talked about the unfairness of their concert experience.
"also there was no barricade between VIP and cat 1 lmfao we paid different prices for this!" stated an X user.
"Bighit needs to treat all fans equally cuz it's so rude to favour some over others when you're all paying a lot of money" commented a fan on X.
"some sections received unfair treatment like paying different prices but getting the same benefits," added another fan.
