MBC's new drama Death to Snow White - Black Out, starring Byun Yo-han and Kim Bo-ra, will be released on August 16. The drama is written by Seo Joo-yeon, directed by Byun Young-joo, and planned by Kwon Seong-chang. Black Out will air every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 KST on MBC.
The story is about the person responsible for a mysterious murder case whose body has not been found. Ten years later, this criminal thriller with a twist follows the tale of a young man who was singled out for murder and uncovers the truth about that fateful day.
Black Out: Cast and plot
In Black Out, Byun Yo-han portrays Go Jeong-woo, a suspect in a murder case that created a commotion in Mucheon Village. Kim Bo-ra portrays Ha-seol in the suspense thriller drama. The protagonist, Ko Jeong-woo, is an exceptionally talented student who excels in both academics and athletics. He is close to being admitted into a prominent medical school.
Despite his naive appearance and kind, devoted demeanor, he yearns for an adult life. To celebrate, he drinks alcohol without telling his parents after passing the college admission exam.
But shortly after, this act of his turns into the biggest chain restraining him. He is suspected of being a brutal killer who killed two of his buddies after blacking out from excessive drinking. Overnight, he turned into a horrific killer and was presented with a lengthy sentence of 11 years.
Moreover, Go Jeong-woo cannot recall them despite his hard work. After his release, he sets out to discover the truth from 11 years ago. Jeong-woo is not the same after a lengthy jail sentence. His face exhibits a different roughness than before.
The question of whether Go Jeong-woo killed his two buddies on that day and the details of the murder case that wrecked his life becomes increasingly intriguing.
Byun Yo-han and Kim Bo-ra: Other projects
As a student at Korea National University of Arts, Byun Yo-han made his acting debut in 2011 and starred in more than thirty short films. The hit workplace cable series Misaeng gave the actor a supporting part in 2014, which catapulted him to popularity. Recently, he was spotted in the role of Kim San in Uncle Samsik.
On the other hand, at eleven, Kim Bo-ra made her acting debut in the drama Wedding in 2005. Her performance in the popular series Sky Castle brought her fame, and she has since starred in several dramas and movies, including Jungle Fish 2, Bel Ami, and Glamorous Temptation. Recently, she appeared in Like Flowers in Sand, playing the role of Joo Mi-ran.
