On July 9, 2024, @billboardcharts officially announced that BLACKPINK's Lisa's solo single Rockstar debuted at No.70 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts through their X account. It emerged as the rapper's highest-charting and third solo entry on the mentioned chart.

BLACKPINK's Lisa made her much-anticipated comeback as she unveiled Rockstar on June 28, 2024, through Lloud and RCA Records, marking her first solo single in three years. The two-second and eighteen-second track is a hip-hop record and dropped with a music video through Lloud's official YouTube channel.

The track was penned by Lalisa Manobal, James Essien, Lucy, Healey, Ryan Tedder, Sam Homaee, and Brittany Amaradio. It was produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee.

The @billboardcharts unveiled that BLACKPINK's Lisa's single Rockstar charted at the No.1 position on the Global Excl. US music chart. She debuted on the mentioned survey with 94.2 million streams and 44,000 sold units outside the United States between June 28 and July 4, 2024, as reported by Billboard. It emerged as the idol's third top-ten and first number-one ranked track on Global Excl. US.

BLACKPINK's Lisa was followed by other artists, including Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso and Please Please Please, Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather, FlayyMenor X Cris Mj's Gata Only, Benson Boone's Beautiful Things, Jimin & Loco's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, Karol G's Si Antest Te Hubiera Conocido, Hozier's Too Sweet, Shaboozey's A Bar Song (Tipsy), and others.

The Thai idol also emerged as the third member of the girl group BLACKPINK with a solo No.1 on the Global Excl US music chart. Previously, Jennie's You & Me (October 21, 2023) and Rosé's On the Ground (March 27, 2021) charted at No.1 positions on the mentioned chart. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's Shut Down, Pink Venom, and Lovesick Girls also reached atop the Global Excl. US music chart on October 1, 2022, September 3, 2022, and October 17, 2020, respectively.

Meanwhile, Lisa's Rockstar also secured the No.4 position on Billboard Global 200, followed by Billie Eilish's Birds of a Feather, Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us, Post Malone ft. Morgan Wallen's I Had Some Help, Tommy Richman's Million Dollar Baby, Benson Boone's Beautiful Things, and FlayyMenor X Cris Mj's Gata Only.

Additionally, BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Stray Kids Bang Chan, and others showcased support for the rapper's latest release by sharing Instagram stories and talking about it on Bubble. While Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé shared Instagram stories, Bang Chan stated that he had added Rockstar to his workout playlist.

BLACKPINK's Lisa released her single album Lalisa on September 10, 2021, through YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in CD, digital, download, streaming, and Long Play formats. The album recorded 845,866 KOR sales. The featured tracks, including Lalisa and Money, peaked at No.84 and No.90 on the Billboard Hot 100 Music Charts in 2021.

Lalisa also peaked at the No.2 position on the Global Excl. US and Global 200 charts, respectively, while Money charted at No.24 and No.44 on the Global 200 Excl. US and Global 200.

BLACKPINK's Lisa established her own artist management, Lloud, on February 8, 2024, after she declined to sign an exclusive individual contract with YG Entertainment in December 2023. Consequently, the idol is now solely responsible for the production, composition, and release of her solo endeavors, including singles, albums, and other projects.

She also delivered electrifying performances on her solo singles, Money and Lalisa, at Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes charity event. It was planned and executed by the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, on January 26, 2024, in Paris.

Meanwhile, the idol has been confirmed by the outlet Variety that she will make her acting debut in Home Box Office's series The White Lotus with her original name, Lalisa Manobal. She was also spotted grooving to BLACKPINK's How You Like That at The White Lotus cast party in June 2024 and interacting with the cast. The idol has recently launched her official TikTok account, gaining millions of followers.

She was also spotted at Miami International Autodrome as the Formula 1 Grand Prix flag-beater in May 2024 and attended a Tag Heuer dinner party in Monaco for the Formula 1 Grand Prix on May 25, 2024.


In recent news, BLACKPINK member reportedly renewed her exclusive contract with Dentiste and was re-appointed as the global ambassador for the toothpaste brand.
