Fortnight by Taylor Swift and Post Malone was released on April 19, 2024. It was the biggest debut of the year until APT. by Rosé and Bruno Mar. The Fortnight duo also won the Best Collab award at the 2024 Video Music Awards.

APT. is a pre-single for BLACKPINK Rose's upcoming album featuring Bruno Mars. It was released on October 18, 2024, at 1 pm KST. The title of the song 'Apt.' is inspired by the 'apartment game', a traditional game played in Korea.
Within 24 hours of its release, Rosé registered herself as the first K-pop and first female female soloist to debut on the US iTunes Top 10. She is the highest debuting female Asian act on iTunes US. The song has made it to the iTunes chart in more than 32 countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Taiwan, Poland, and more.
APT. has also become the fastest music video by a Korean soloist to surpass one million likes this year. It has also become the fastest music video by a Korean soloist to surpass 10 million views this year.
Within a day of its release, Rosé and Bruno Mars have gained their first real-time all-kill on Korean music streaming platforms with a number one position on Melon, Genie, Flo, and Bugs. The BLACKPINK singer also earned her first number one as a soloist on MelOn Top 100 with APT.
BLACKPINK Rosé gets support from her members
In an interview with iHeartRadio, Rosé talked about her BLACKPINK member Jisoo's unconditional support. She mentioned that Jisoo always tunes in for her work and asks about her well-being.
"To talk about Jisoo... she is the most... she always tunes in, she's always like how are you doing, where are you in the world, come back to Korea, I miss you... the best,"
The youngest BLACKPINK member Lisa also showcased her support for the song through an Instagram story. The story read:
"Omg...very my style!!"
Bruno Mars in his 'Oppa Era'
On October 19, 2024, Rosé uploaded a video on her Instagram with Bruno Mars where she teaches him how to say 'Please give (it) lots of love'. As the Treasure singer tries to imitate the Korean pop star, they both break into a laugh. Bruno later comments that he is in his 'oppa era'.
'Oppa' is a term used by Korean females for men older than them as a sign of respect.
On October 17, Rose and Bruno Mars hinted at the collaboration via Instagram posts updated by both the singers on their official accounts. The Gone's singer had posted an image laughing alongside the Grenade's singer. The post had a caption:
"the night i taught bruno how to play a korean drinking game."
Bruno uploaded a picture with Rose where they both sat together in a group with people placing their hands on top of others. Bruno wrote a saucy caption which also got a startled comment from the BLACKPINK's singer. The caption read:
"So this was me hanging on for dear life after @roses_are_rosie introduced me to this Korean drinking game and got me saucy. Soon after, she tried to kiss me, and I was like “woah Rosie! what part of the game is this?” She was like, “I ain’t playin games wit you anymore lil boy! Big Rosie bout that BIDNESS!” Shaken, I replied “stop Rosie, I’m scared!” But other than that, super chill night."
APT. singer will be releasing her solo debut album, Rosie, on December 6. The album will feature 12 tracks, with APT. being one of them.
