Ahead of BLACKPINK's 8th anniversary, YG Entertainment announced the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK concert film was released in cinemas on July 31, 2024. Directed by Oh Yoon-dong and Geun Min, the 92-minute-long film encompasses the closing concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome, recorded in September 2023, along with the best moments from the tour's 66 shows.

The movie is set to be released across 110 countries with an early screening in Seoul on July 31. The movie will premiere in Indian theaters from August 9 to 11 in PVR INOX Cinemas.

Furthermore, a fan signing session will be held on August 8, 2024, followed by the PINKSTAGE meet-and-greet presentation on August 9, where fans can meet BLACKPINK's Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa.

Meanwhile, the movie setlist covered the band's hits, including Pink Venom, How You Like That, Pretty Savage, Typa Girl, and more.

The girl group kicked off their world tour in Seoul on October 15, 2022, and ended it in Seoul on September 17, 2023. Spanning 22 countries and boasting 66 shows, the tour earned over 148.3 million USD from just 29 concerts.

Additionally, the official account of Touring Data reported that the BORN PINK tour generated over $331.8 million from 1,815,183 tickets sold through 66 shows. The tour set records for being the most-attended concert tour by a K-pop girl group and the highest-grossing tour by an Asian act and K-pop group in history.

Notably, in December 2023, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa ended their solo contracts with YG Entertainment. However, they renewed their group contracts under the company. Meanwhile, the four members are exploring solo projects after establishing their independent companies.

In December 2023, Jennie founded Oddatelier, followed by Lisa establishing her own company, LLOUD, on February 7, 2024. These announcements were followed by Jisoo, who launched her company, BLISSOO, on February 17, 2024. Meanwhile, Koreaboo reported that Rosé signed with THE BLACK LABEL.


All BLACKPINK members are reported to release solo songs and albums by the end of 2024.
