BLACKPINK's Jennie has reportedly donated 100 million Korean Wons to Habitat Korea to help settle Korean Youth. On May 16, 2024, multiple Korean media agencies reported that the BLACKPINK vocalist donated to Habitat Korea, an international housing welfare non-profit organization.

Notably, this donation was made under the name of the girl group's fan club, BLINK. This fund will be used to run the Raetam Wood International Alternative School Project, which helps ethnic Koreans from post-Soviet states who have settled down in South Korea, pursue their daily lives while also following their academic studies.

The Raetam Wood International Alternative School serves as an important source of support to the ethnic Koreans in South Korea. However, due to the lack of facilities and official accreditation, there is a need to rebuild the school structure.

This donation will be used in the reconstruction of the school in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province which will be led by the NGO Habitat Korea.


Habitat Korea expresses gratitude towards BLACKPINK’s Jennie for her 100 million KRW donation

Jennie is known worldwide for her singing and rapping prowess as a member of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, she is also popular for her solo music releases like SOLO and You & Me. Reportedly, the rapper donated to the Raetam Wood International Alternative School project in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Following this, The non-profit organization Habitat Korea reportedly expressed their gratitude towards the How You Like That singer for this donation through a statement. They also expressed their eagerness to commence the project as soon as possible.

As per Yonhap News, they stated

“We would like to thank Jennie for joining us in building a school to help children grow their dreams with her love for her fan club, Blink. We will work hard to start construction as soon as possible.”

BLACKPINK's other members have also donated

Previously, her bandmate Jisoo made headlines for donating to the NGO Save the Children. Jisoo reportedly donated the profits she made through her individual YouTube channel Happiness Index 103% (행복지수103%) to assist NGOs in helping underprivileged people with necessities and food in different countries.

Furthermore, member Rosé participated in the Season's Greetings alongside her pet dog Hanks called, “From HANK & ROSÉ to you [2024]." The vocalist also donated a part of the proceedings from her Season’s Greetings released in November 2023. This donation helped the animal shelters to help the needy animals while also providing them with healthcare.


BLACKPINK’s Jennie's upcoming solo album

The Idol actress recently attended the 2024 Met Gala donning a royal blue minidress by Alaïa on May 6. Walking on the red carpet for the second time she participated in a get ready with me video with Vogue on May 8. She shared her experience while also hinting about her upcoming album.

Stirring excitement among fans she said

"I am enjoying every step, and I also have a lot more coming with my album. So I hope everyone's excited about that too.”

Furthermore, she recently collaborated with the South Korean rapper ZICO for his song SPOT! which was released on April 26, 2024. ZICO recently spoke to Billboard following his song SPOT! topped the World Digital Song Sales chart.

He revealed getting a chance to hear some demo versions of songs on the BLACKPINK member's highly awaited upcoming solo album.

He said

“I had the chance to peek at Jennie’s to-be-released solo track demos — there were so many good ones.”

While fans await Jennie's solo album, they can listen to SPOT! on different music service platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
