On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the K-pop nominees for the upcoming MTV VMAs 2024 were revealed. The list showcased several K-pop artists and groups, such as BLACKPINK's Lisa, BTS' Jungkook, NCT DREAM, and more, who were nominated for their accomplishments in the music industry.

Some of the nominees have also bagged nominations under a series of categories, exciting fans. MTV's VMAs 2024, otherwise known as Video Music Awards, is an annual award ceremony that recognizes artists and music personnel from around the world for their excellence in video music mediums.

The annual award ceremony is expected to roll out on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT this year. The event is presented by the American cable television channel MTV, otherwise known as Music Television. The following article will unravel the K-pop nominees for the upcoming VMAs 2024.


All you need to know about the K-pop nominees for the MTV VMAs 2024

In the last few years, the K-pop industry has slowly been making its way through the MTV VMAs for several of its music video accomplishments. There has reportedly been a gradual increase in the number of K-pop artists recognized and nominated by the VMAs over time.

In 2019, BTS and TXT were recognized for their respective Boy With Luv and Cat & Dog music videos. Stray Kids won the Best K-pop award at last year's event for their S-Class music video.

This year, while several K-pop groups and artists have occupied the Best K-pop category under the VMAs 2024 nominations, some artists have also been nominated in other categories.

K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM is nominated for the Push Performance of the Year award, while BTS' Jungkook and BLACKPINK's Lisa appeared in several categories for their songs Seven ft. Latto and ROCKSTAR, respectively.
