"Born to be loved"- Internet in awe as BTS' Taehyung birthday projects and donations take over countries as fans gear up for celebrations

As BTS' Taehyung celebrates his birthday on December 30, his supporters began preparations for the big day through various initiatives and celebrations across different countries. Fans across different countries have made massive efforts to make this day special for BTS' Taehyung with giant dolls, posters, sizeable billboards, displays on screens, and so on.

Fans from Lagos, Nigeria, showcased their love for V with VDAY 2024 four-LED faces billboard displaying Taehyung’s stunning visuals. The LED Screens in Vietnam also displayed grand visuals of BTS’ Taehyung.

Fans also organized an event at Cafe Dam-a in Seoul to mark Happy V Day, which started on December 28 and will continue until December 31. Several buses in Seoul are even adorned with V’s visuals for V Day Project.

Fans also donated a large amount of necessary food and supplies to nearly 6,000 people escaping the conflict in a war-torn region of Myanmar. They used various land routes and waterways to make these donations in Kim Taehyung's honor.

Netizens were amazed to see BTS' Taehyung’s birthday projects on a global scale. Consequently, the online community flooded the internet with praises for the idol. One user on X stated:

“taehyung was born to be loVed”

Many other mixed reactions from the online community were seen on X relating to V’s birthday. While some said these projects were precious, others claimed they were beautiful.

“This is so precious "How the whole world Waiting for this movement",” commented an X user.
“Taehyung's birthday projects shining everywhere, beautifully decorating countries,” an admirer stated.
“Wow it is so beautiful wow our taetae will be happy after seeing this,” another fan commented.

Some said these projects were “overwhelming,” while others said that the singer is loved by “real people.”

“You are loved by the real people tae,” stated another X user.

Fans conducted blood donation drive and placed giant doll near HYBE building to mark BTS' Taehyung’s birthday

The China Baidu V Bar, LLC Taehyung's Chinese fan club, has organized a birthday display at Yongsan HYBE Park, adjacent to the HYBE building. The display featured a six-metre tall customized V doll, along with Yeontan and Layover vinyl. This exclusive VDAY exhibition goes from December 28 to January 1, providing fans and guests an opportunity to indulge in the celebratory ambiance.

Fans from Indonesia collaborated with MoyFaery to feature Taehyung's LED ads in 93 stations in Indonesia to celebrate V day. These ads were spotted at Cikini Station, Central Jakarta. Fans also held a blood donation drive at the Jakarta Red Cross office to celebrate V Day.

Taehyung's birthday LED screen was also seen in the tallest building in Vietnam (Landmark 81). Kim Taehyung’s fans in the Philippines gathered to celebrate his special day and also prepared a custom “29 Shades of V” kit for other fans.

Japanese fans organized a café event in Tokyo that can be attended only with advance bookings. The Japan Cafe event will show V’s VIVID FILM to mark the idol’s birthday.

BLACK DRUM Yongsan store situated next to the HYBE building is also holding a “V Birthday Event.” They will give special cafe commemorative sets to the winners who repost their tweets.

Several dedicated banners for BTS' Taehyung’s birthday are also placed outside his military base. Compose Coffee is also offering free coffee and snacks to mark their ambassador’s special day.

Kim Taehyung’s birthday advertisement was also spotted at Times Square, New York City, USA.

Several fans also shared images of Compose Coffee cafe in Hongdae, where they had displayed multiple photographs of BTS' Taehyung to mark his birthday.


Currently, BTS' Taehyung is serving his obligatory military service, which started in December 2023. He will potentially reunite with his group in June 2025 following his discharge. The idol will mark his 29th birthday this year.
