On December 16, 2024, the South Korean K-pop group BOY NEXT DOOR officially announced through the official X account that they are set to make their comeback with their first digital single, I Love You Today Only. The band revealed that the forthcoming track was scheduled for release on January 6, 2025, at 6 pm Korean Standard Time.

The record conveyed the message of different types of anxieties felt by youth before they turn twenty.
