On October 5, 2024, BLACKPINK's Jisoo took to the South Korean social media platform Bubble, where the female artist shared that she did not want a solo fandom name, eliciting praises from fans. The K-pop idol confessed that she had BLINKS as her fandom for 8.5 years, and hence, she could not imagine calling them something else. She added, as translated by X user @BLACKPINKGLOBAL:

"I like Blinks. I really like Blinks...A fandom name? I've never thought about it, and I can't imagine it, I think it'll be awkward. I've already had Blinks for 8.5 years...I won't be used to calling them something else, so I can't imagine it. I already have Blinks."

Subsequently, the latest confession of BLACKPINK's Jisoo not wanting a solo fandom name circulated on social media and went viral among the fandom. An X user tweeted:

"Solo or together bp always have blinks."

The fandom stated that they loved BLACKPINK's Jisoo for expressing her real thoughts and saying that she admired BLINKS the most.
