On December 5, 2024, BTS leader RM shared an emotional letter to fans on Weverse, a platform for fan-idol interactions. In the heartfelt post, he reflected on his journey over the past year since enlisting for mandatory military service, expressing his deep longing for ARMY and his anticipation for the group’s reunion in 2025.
For those unfamiliar, Namjoon began his military service in December 2023, joining fellow members Jimin, Taehyung (V), Jungkook, and Suga. Jin and J-hope have already completed their service and were discharged in June and October respectively.
The group is set to fully reunite in June 2025 when all members will have completed their service. The Indigo artist wrote:
"Though there's still some time left, I want to make 2025 a more meaningful year. Let’s stay healthy! Because it's sad when we're unwell, and because loneliness lingers. I miss you. Let's brave through this long winter together—hahaha."
