K-pop idols including BTOB’s Eunkwang, ZEROBASEONE's Gyuvin, and Gunwook, among others, are going viral over social media for their thoughtful gifts to fans at the 2024 ISAC. On Thursday, August 15, ISAC held its futsal event, which was joined by multiple K-pop groups and the fans in the audience.
For the unversed, ISAC, also known as Idol Star Athletics Championship, is an MBC show aired twice a year. On the show, K-pop idols gather and participate in a variety of sports while also interacting with the fans. This year breaking dance was introduced as a new sport at ISAC as the dance style also debuted in the 2024 Olympics. Meanwhile, other events include futsal, archery, track and race, and dance sports. These K-pop idols are known for giving out gifts to their supporters who join them during the recording of the show.

Fans and attendees have shared glimpses of the futsal event of the 2024 ISAC on theqoo. According to posts made by fans, BTOB's Eukwang won fans' hearts with 100,000 KRW worth of gift cards to Outback Steakhouse, Stanley tumblers, a sun protection umbrella, and a sun spray.
Previously, on August 5, ZEROBASEONE gave out lunch and dinner sets with snacks, and some goodies during the recording of archery, track and race, and other events of 2024 ISAC. More recently, on August 15, ZEROBASEONE’s Gyuvin and Gunwook gave out VIP gift cards to fans, with ice tea and snacks.
K-pop idols' thoughtful gifts to fans at the 2024 ISAC
On Thursday, August 15, the Idol Star Athletics Championship filmed its futsal event where fans received several snacks and goodies from their favorite K-pop stars. Besides BTOB's Eunkwang and ZEROBASEONE’s Gyuvin and Gunwook, many other artists showed their love for fans through different gifts.
THE BOYZ’s Sangyeon and Sunwoo gave out kimbap, crispy chicken, and soft drinks. Meanwhile, Fantagio boy band LUN8's Ian prepared Hot Pot gift cards with the viral Dubai chocolate bars, INFINITE member Woohyun gave his fans 30,000 KRW mobile gift cards and VIXX’s Leo gifted them portable fans, snacks, and Starbucks gift cards. During the first pre-recording on August 5, Japanese boy group &TEAM gifts fans Le Labo products. Band member K prepared his favorite products from the brand for his fans on behalf of the group.
Girl group Kep1er also prepared several gifts for fans who attended the event throughout the day. According to the posts shared by Kep1er fans, the gifts ranged from small treats, lunch, and dinner to portable fans and Polaroid photos.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR made netizens and fans online laugh when they arrived late to the event. The KOZ Entertainment boy group then treated fans to multiple gifts including snacks and sweet treats, hygiene kits, and skin care products.
2024 ISAC inaugural event
Ten days ago, on August 5, MBC inaugurated the 2024 Idol Star Athletics Championship. NCT WISH’s Sion, NMIXX’s Sullyoon, TWS’s Shinyu, and ILLIT’s Wonhee took the oath before the event commenced. The event was attended by K-pop groups like AMPERS&ONE, Billlie, BEWAVE, JUST B, UNIS, TripleS, Kiss of Life, EVNNE, and many more.
Previously on July 17, Kang Daniel, NMIXX’s Haewon, Jun Hyun-moo, and Lee Chan-won were confirmed as the main hosts of the show. Notably, STAYC’s Sieun and South Korean rapper DinDin will be supporting hosts during other events of the show.
While clips of idols participating in relay races and archery are all over social media, the MBC show is scheduled to be aired during this year's Chuseok holidays which will take place in September.
