More about BTS' latest activities
BTS' Jin was discharged from the military on June 14, 2024, after serving his mandatory enlistment period of 18 months. He recently released his personal variety show, RUN JIN, on August 13, 2024. Jin was also featured as a guest on the variety show Half-star Hotel in Lost Island released on August 19.
Furthermore, the singer is currently working on composing and producing his upcoming debut solo album, which will be released by the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, Jungkook and Jimin released their reality travel show, Are You Sure?!, on Disney+, on August 8. The show takes viewers on a ride along with the two singers as they travel across California, Japan, and Jeju Island.
Additionally, Kim Taehyung aka V of BTS joined Are You Sure?! Episode 2 as a special guest as Jungkook and Jimin flew to Jeju Island in South Korea.
They explored different cuisines and engaged in fun activities such as rock climbing, go-car driving, cruising in a yard, fishing, riding a bike, and more.
Despite being in the military, j-hope released his second solo album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1, in March 2024, along with his solo docu-series of the same moniker. The docu-series is available on Disney+ for global streaming.
Jimin dropped his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, via BIGHIT MUSIC. Namjoon's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, was dropped globally on May 24. Both Jimin and Namjoon enlisted in the military in December 2023 alongside Taehyung and Jungkook.
Meanwhile, Min Yoongi aka Suga is serving in the military as a social service worker. His alternative enlistment was a result of his old shoulder injury because of which he was classified as a Grade-5 recruit. For the unversed, a Grade-5 recruit isn't considered physically fit to carry out regular military duties but can't opt for social service.
j-hope is set to be discharged in October 2024. However, the rest of the BTS members will return in June 2025 and resume group activities.
