BTS' Park Jimin, BLACKPINK's Lisa, and LE SSERAFIM won one of the biggest awards at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs). The annual music award ceremony was held at the Manchester ceremony in England on November 10, 2024 (November 11 KST).

As per the official MTV Europe Music Awards announcement, Jimin won the category for Best K-Pop. It was the first global music nomination and win for the BTS singer as a solo artist.

BLACKPINK's Lisa bagged two big trophies for Best Collaboration for her August 2024 single, NEW WOMAN feat. Rosalía, along with the Biggest Fans category. Reportedly, she became the first female artist to win the Biggest Fans award in the last 12 years.

Furthermore, LE SSERAFIM won this year's Best PUSH award, which was previously won by Tomorrow X Together (TXT) at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.

BTS' vocalist and main dancer, Park Jimin, released his debut solo album, FACE, on March 24, 2023. Its title track, Like Crazy, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first K-pop solo artist to top the chart in Billboard history. Following this, Jimin released his pre-recorded second solo mini-album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024.

MUSE's title track, WHO, opened at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 (Excl. US) charts simultaneously.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's Lisa dropped her comeback solo single, ROCKSTAR, on June 28, 2024. Her single was released the same day the BTS sensation dropped his pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO), from his mini-album, MUSE. On August 15, 2024, Lisa released another single, NEW WOMAN, following Moonlit Floor on October 3.

HYBE's rookie girl group, LE SSERAFIM, released their EP, CRAZY, on August 30, 2024. The eponymous track debuted at No. 76 on the Billboard Hot 100. The rookie group performed live at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards on November 10, 2024, on the same track.


In other news, BLACKPINK's Lisa founded her company, LLOUD, on February 7, 2024, and signed a global deal with RCA Records in May. Her latest solo tracks were released under LLOUD and the American record label.
