BIGHIT MUSIC (under HYBE) dropped 12 new pictures of BTS' Jimin from Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) Track Video Photo Sketch on July 5, 2024. The BTS idol dropped his new song on June 28, 2024, which earned the biggest debut by a K-pop soloist in 2024 on Spotify with over 8 million unfiltered streams.

The song is part of the Grammy-nominated BTS idol's forthcoming solo album, MUSE. The album will be released on July 19 and has seven tracks, including Rebirth: Intro, Interlude: SHOWTIME, BE MINE, SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson), the title track WHO, and the two pre-released singles—Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) and Closer Than This.

In the new pictures from the Track Video Photo Sketch, Jimin is captured while filming for the music video. Several of the photos were candid shots of the BTS idols, which fans found endearing. The bright set further added flamboyance to the pictures, which mirrored the song's vibrant and happy tune.


BTS Jimin dominates global music charts with his new single despite serving in the military

The BTS idol enlisted in the military on December 12, 2023, and was deployed to the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army. Jimin will be discharged in June 2025 after completing 18 months. However, the musician pre-filmed and recorded various content for his fans to enjoy until he returns to showbiz.

These include his forthcoming album MUSE, which is the artist's second solo record following FACE. The pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), from his second solo set, topped the US iTunes chart on its opening day. Additionally, it peaked at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart across 100 countries on June 28, 2024.

Furthermore, the song maintained its top position on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart for seven consecutive days. The song also ranked No. 1 on the European iTunes Song Chart on June 29.

As of July 5, it attained the biggest debut by a Korean act on Spotify's US Weekly Top Songs Chart in 2024. Jimin peaked at No. 24 on the chart on June 29 and is at No. 43 as of July 5. The song has also gained over 37.5 million Spotify streams as of July 5. He also earned the highest entry on the Global Spotify Weekly chart at No. 13.


In other news, BTS' Park Jimin also filmed a travel show with bandmate Jungkook. The show, Are You Sure?, will air on Disney Plus on August 8, 2024, and will have eight episodes. The show was filmed in New York, Jeju Island, and Japan.
