BTS member Park Jimin clinched a new record as he recently earned his highest rank on the Billboard's Pop Songs Airplay Chart. His latest song, WHO, from his second solo album, MUSE, debuted at #34 on the chart of the most-played songs on pop radio across the United States.

MUSE was released on July 19, 2024, and WHO was introduced as its title track. The album also had other tracks like Be Mine, Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: SHOWTIME, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson), and Closer Than This.

The Be Mine singer-songwriter broke his tie with his bandmate, Min Yoongi, aka Suga. Previously, Suga's song, Blueberry Eyes with Western artist MAX entered the chart at No. 40 in 2020. Jimin's first entry in the chart was Angel Pt. 1, from the movie Fast and the Furious X. Angel Pt. 1 was a collaboration between Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Jvke, Muni Long, and the BTS singer.

With Angel Pt. 1 and WHO, Jimin now has two entrants in the Billboard's Pop Songs Airplay Chart—the highest among BTS members apart from Jungkook. The BTS maknae has over six song entries in the chart and tops as the only solo male artist from South Korea to have so many songs enter the Pop Songs Airplay Chart.

More about BTS' Jimin latest album release

Muse sold over 771,000 copies of each of its editions (Blooming and Serenade versions) in its first week of release and landed at No. 2 on the South Korean Circle Album Chart. Jimin earned his second No. 2 album debut in the US on the Billboard 200.

However, the album's title track, WHO, debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. US. The song has surpassed 384 million (384,880,916) Spotify streams as of August 28, 2024.

Through seven tracks, MUSE delved into Jimin's search for genuine inspiration to create an exploration of love and finding his soulmate. The latest album showcased the BTS idol's flexibility as a genre-less musician by fusing everything from Latin and Afrobeat flare in Be Mine to light hip-hop and R&B beats in SLOW DANCE.

The focal track, WHO, delved into the desire and uncertainty of love through Jimin's first solo English single. The music video paid a subtle homage to the 2000's pop music era with leather jackets, dancing outside a cinema theatre, and retro vibe. The album's opening track, Rebirth (Intro), established the complex concept of having a crush on someone after a long time.

Meanwhile, the album's pre-release track, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), was a compilation of the singer's happy memories as he encouraged his listeners to experience and explore new things.
