More about BTS' Jimin's latest album MUSE's achievements

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS' Jimin released his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024. While his first album, FACE, focused on self-reflection, MUSE explores the stories Jimin wants to share, highlighting his journey of drawing inspiration from his surroundings.

The Serendipity singer, also credited as a producer for MUSE, narrates a tale of seeking genuine love and occasionally losing his way across the album’s seven tracks. The album’s pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (featuring Loco), made an immediate impact, reaching the top of iTunes charts in at least 108 countries/regions within 24 hours of its release.

The track also set a record as the fastest song of 2024 to reach no. 1 on iTunes in 100 countries/regions, achieving this milestone in under five hours. Following the release, the album quickly topped iTunes charts in at least 87 countries/regions, including the U.S., by 9 a.m. (KST) the next day.

With this achievement, the BTS idol became the first K-Pop artist to have more than one album reach no. 1 in the U.S. Additionally, the title track Who reached the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart in at least 112 countries/regions. On August 29, 2024, it was revealed that Who had become the fastest track of 2024 to reach 400 million streams on Spotify.

The song also holds the title of the most-streamed 2024 track by a K-pop act on Spotify, with over 402 million streams at the time of writing.

Although the artist is currently serving in the military, he pre-recorded an eight-episode travel series titled Are You Sure?! alongside bandmate Jungkook before enlisting. In this series, the duo embarks on adventures across the U.S., Japan, and Jeju Island in South Korea, where they engage in a variety of activities.
