On July 30, 2024, Billboard reported that Jimin re-entered the No.2 position on Artist 100 with his second solo album, Muse, for the chart dated August 3, 2024. The idol previously spent one week at the No.1 position on Billboard Artist 100 as a soloist in April 2023 and emerged as the first Korean soloist to top the chart.

BTS' Jimin released his second solo album, Muse, on July 19, 2024, through BigHit Music and distributed by YG PLUS and HYBE. The album featured seven tracks, including Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), Slow Dance, Be Mine, Who, and Closer Than This.

For those unversed, The Artist 100 analyzes artist activity across key factors. This includes music consumption, track sales, blends album, radio airplay, and streaming to hand out the weekly multi-dimensional ranking of the artist's popularity.

Additionally, Jimin was followed by prominent artists, including Taylor Swift at No. 3, Morgan Wallen at No. 4, and Zach Bryan at No. 5 in the Artist 100.

BTS' Jimin's title track, WHO, for his second solo album, Muse, debuted at the No. 1 position on Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US Charts for the Billboard chart dated August 3, 2024. The track ranked first on the Global 200 with 90.5 million streams and 129,000 units sold worldwide as of July 25, 2024, and accumulated 76 million streams on Global Excl. US by securing the top spot. It sold over 76,000 units outside the United States.

WHO also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 by securing the No. 14 position. The milestone marked the male artist's sixth entry and second Top 15 hit on the music chart. The track also emerged as the highest charting song of 2024 by a K-pop Act on the Hot 100 list.

Jimin's WHO extended its record of the longest-charting song by a K-soloist at the No. 1 position on Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart. He broke the tie as the second longest-charing song by a K-Act in history. The track also secured the No. 1 position on the official MENA chart and surpassed 100 million streams on the audio streaming and listening platform Spotify.

In recent news, BTS' Jimin is set to appear in the upcoming South Korean travel variety show Are You Sure?!, alongside fellow group member Jungkook. The series will feature eight episodes and is slated to premiere on August 8, 2024, through Disney+.


The male artist began mandatory military service on December 12, 2023, with Jungkook. After concluding five weeks of basic military training, the idol was deployed to The Fifth Infantry Division, where he would serve the remaining period as an active-duty soldier.
