On August 12, 2024, BANGTAN TV released the behind-the-scenes for BTS Jimin's Muse choreography on their official YouTube channel. The video showcased the first practice day of Muse's title track, WHO, where he prepared for its choreography with a backup dancer.
During the dance practice, the male artist provided useful insights about how the backup dancers were free to use up the space to create an appealing choreography:
"I think approaching it in an easier manner is the right thing to do. I think this is the right kind of vibe. It's like a short film. Brainstorm. So this, In the beginning, we're going forward, right? But I don't know if we should film it all just on the road or if we should start from the sidewalk, So, as we moving from the side, should we film me going in this direction, but it's not something that I need to worry about. It'll be so hard to set up the camera."
BTS Jimin's message for ARMYs
Jimin executed the choreography of Muse's title track, WHO, showcasing his different side. The staff complimented the male artist about how his choreography was better than the fellow dancers. The male artist also had a message for ARMYs:
"We're practicing the choreo for the title track of my next album, Who. There are going to be all sorts of moments that you might find uncomfortable, but don't forget that it's all part of the grand scheme of things. Please don't be too disappointed."
Jimin went on practicing the choreography of WHO with all the dancers, including female and male artists, on the third practice day.
On the fourth practice day, the music video film crew and the director visited the dance practice room to check the choreography before the production. Subsequently, the director provided direction to both male artists and backup dancers on how to enhance their WHO dance performance and added new elements to it.
During the video, Jimin expressed a few things he wanted to execute and stated:
"Those are the kinds of things I wanted to express, starting this year, I started doing a lot of things on my own, and It's true that I didn't have many chances to meet with our fans. Lately, from the conversations I've had with friends there seem to be very few instances where you start feeling those really strong emotions, 'Should I start feeling more passion?' that's what I was thinking while making this song."
He further elaborated:
"The dance is a little, it's not really a musical, but it has a lot of fun theatrical elements, I wanted to express a lot of picturesque scenes. I think it came together well exactly to my liking. You could see it as a dance that's well suited for me, but it's also a simpler kind of dance that I haven't tried before. It was fun and fresh to me, and so I think it'll also show everyone a new side of me."
Subsequently, the dancing crew and Jimin worked on their hand and head movement on the fifth day of WHO's dance practice. He reviewed the dance footage multiple times to fix some parts that would make the music video appealing.
On the sixth practice day, the male artist played basketball with his staff in the practice room and talked about how all of the proteins he consumed went into his hair growth.
Meanwhile, on the seventh day, Jimin decided to wrap up the practice with three run-throughs, and on the eighth day, the idol executed the choreography barefoot.
The male artist was finally satisfied with the dance and went on practicing Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) on the ninth practice.
During the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco), the male artist met with kids, where he provided them with his handwritten autograph and had fun conversations with them. He then practiced the choreography with the children.
As the kid's part in the choreography concluded, the male artist sent them home, requesting the children to have something to eat and sleep on time.
However, he continued practicing the Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) with the backup dancers.
On the 10th and final day of the Muse dance practice, Jimin expressed his desire to return with great results to justify his team's hard work. He also believed that the upcoming music would go well and requested fans to look forward to it.
In recent news, BTS Jimin released his second solo album, Muse, on July 19, 2024, through BigHit Music.
