BTS member Park Jimin is set to release his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024. With the album generating significant buzz online, media reports indicate that Jimin is credited as a songwriter and composer for six of the seven tracks on the album.

Apart from the title track, Who, the idol has reportedly composed and written all the other songs, including, Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, Slow Dance, Be Mine, and Closer Than This as per X user @_BTSMoments_.

These six songs are composed and written by Jimin in collaboration with renowned producers and writers such as GHSTLOOP, Ayo the Producer, Pdogg, EVAN, Tommy Brown, Matt Thomson, Ali Tamposi, and others.

Recently, the idol was credited as the songwriter and composer for the pre-release track of MUSE, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, under the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), making this his 18th registered track with the organization.

On July 13, 2024, BTS's official YouTube channel released a video titled '지민 'MUSE' Highlight Medley'. The 1:23-minute video provided previews of all the tracks included in the upcoming album, offering insights into their sound and style.

Here's a detailed description of each track as per a South Korean media outlet, Sports Trends (스포츠경향):

1. Rebirth (Intro)

The first song mixes the elements of R&B (Rhythm and Blues) and gospel, giving it a lively feel that captures the excitement of starting something new. The song is produced by Jimin, GHSTLOOP and Pdogg.

2. Interlude : Showtime

The second track serves as an instrumental interlude linking to the third pre-released track, 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band'. The music is produced by Jimin, GHSTLOOP, Pdogg and EVAN.

3. Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (Ft. Loco)

This previously released track creates an atmosphere by combining hip-hop elements with a grand orchestral arrangement. The single track is produced by Tommy Brown, Mr. Franks, Pdogg and GHSTLOOP.

4. Slow Dance (Ft. Sofia Carson)

The fourth track, crafted by Pdogg, Arcades, and GHSTLOOP, is a gentle, medium-paced R&B tune.

5. Be Mine

The fifth track, created by Pdogg and GHSTLOOP, is likened to the artist's song Filter as its sister, featuring an Afro-beat style with an engaging rhythm that flips the mood.

6. Who

The next track, the album's title track, is crafted by Jon Bellion, Pete Nappi, Tenroc, Pdogg, and GHSTLOOP. It's described as both daring and heartfelt, focusing on the theme of seeking genuine love. The lyrics unveiled alongside the melody, set the song's emotional tone and narrative.

7. Closer Than This

The seventh track crafted by GHSTLOOP, Ayo the Producer and Kofo was initially released in December 2023, is included in the album. It's a soulful R&B song that deeply resonated with fans upon its release.


While the BTS member is currently fulfilling his military service, his second solo album MUSE is scheduled for release on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1 PM (KST).
