On July 11, 2024, BTS Jimin's father, Park Hyun-soo, revealed through an Instagram post that he would be handing out free pens to Magnate Cafe visitors to commemorate his son's upcoming second solo album, Muse's release on July 19. Park Hyun-soo shared the news on @magnate_official, Magnate Cafe's official Instagram account, along with the picture of a purple pen and a transparent box to store it.
For those unversed, BTS Jimin's father, Park Hyun-soo, opened Magnate Cafe in 2019, located in Busan, South Korea. It is referred to as one of the most popular hotspots for international and domestic ARMYs.
BTS Jimin's father to distribute free pens to Magnate Cafe visitors
BTS Jimin will release his second solo album, Muse, featuring WHO as the title track, on July 19, 2024, at 1 pm KST. Park Hyun-soo revealed that on that day, he would distribute free ballpoint pens to those who visit the cafe and order a drink at the pickup stand. He captioned his Instagram post:
"Hello, I'm ZM-illennial (Magnate). On July 19, we will distribute ballpoint pens to everyone who visits the Magnate Cafe as a small event. After ordering a drink, we will distribute it with the drink at the pickup stand, so please refer to this and visit. It would be nice to have a cold drink and spend a special day together."
Soon, Park Hyun-soo's Instagram post circulated on social media, and fans could not stop talking about the supportive nature of Jimin's father. They stated that he was the "most supportive dad ever" and reminisced about the time when he organized an event for the release of the idol's first solo album, FACE, in March 2023.
Meanwhile, Jimin sent a bouquet to his father from the military on Parent's Day on May 9, 2024. Park Hyun-soo dropped a video on his cafe shop's Instagram account @magnate_official, where he showcased a bouquet sent by his son. Jimin also added a letter with the bouquet, which stated, as translated by @JiminGlobal:
"My Dearest Dad, Thank you for giving me life. Please take care of your health. I love you. [Your] son Jimin."
Additionally, Park Hyun-soo also launched a new shop named ZMILLENIAL in Takasaki, Japan, which offers various items, including clothing outfits, hoodies, shirts, sweatshirts, cups, and miscellaneous products related to Jimin. These items feature details related to the idol, including his birth year (1995), date of birth, number 13, crescent moon, and other features.
BTS Jimin was deployed to the Fifth Infantry Division after concluding five weeks of basic training, where he will serve the remaining period of the military as an active duty soldier. The idol will also feature in the upcoming travel variety show, Are You Sure?!, alongside Jungkook, scheduled for release on August 8 on Disney+.
