On July 10, 2024, BTS' Park Jimin made history with his song Like Crazy, which became the longest-charting Korean song on the Billboard Global 200, staying on the chart for 60 consecutive weeks and currently ranking at No. 108.

Like Crazy is the title track from Jimin's debut solo album, FACE, released on March 24, 2023. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Jimin the first K-pop and Korean soloist to achieve this. It also debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 on April 3, 2023.

From March 24 to 30, 2023, the song garnered 10 million streams, 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions, and 254,000 song downloads and CD singles combined. The track also debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales Chart and at No. 35 on the Streaming Songs Chart on April 3, 2023.

In 2012, PSY's ubiquitous hit song Gangnam Style peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, Jimin became the first Korean solo act to top the list in the entire history of the chart in 2023.

Meanwhile, Like Crazy has surpassed 1.23 billion (1,237,192,279) Spotify streams and its English rendition has over 354 million (354,951,069) streams as of July 10, 2024.

Furthermore, FACE focuses on grunge and rock beats along with pop R&B tunes. The album includes six tracks such as Like Crazy, Set Me Free Pt. 2, Alone, Face Off, Interlude: Dive, and Like Crazy (English Version).

Forbes reported that on November 30, 2023, BTS' Jimin became the second among BTS members to earn a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling 1 million units of Like Crazy. The first among BTS is Jungkook who earned the same certification on November 6, 2023, with his summer single, SEVEN (feat. Latto).

Currently, the FACE musician is set to release his second solo album, MUSE, on July 19, 2024. The forthcoming album contains seven tracks, such as:

  • Rebirth: INTRO
  • Interlude: SHOWTIME
  • SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson)
  • WHO
  • Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO)
  • BE MINE
  • Closer Than This

In other news, Jimin enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023, alongside Jungkook. They both will return in June 2025 and resume group activities. Currently, their forthcoming travel show, Are You Sure?, will be aired on Disney+ on August 8, 2024.
