On July 9, 2024, Billboard officially announced on X that BTS Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) debuted at No.88 on the Hot 100 Chart. This is Park Ji-min's fifth career solo entry on the chart and South Korean rapper Loco's first entry.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) is the pre-release single of BTS Jimin's upcoming second solo album Muse. The track was unveiled on June 28, 2024, through the official YouTube channel of HYBE LABELS. It was helmed by the director Samson and produced by Jungho Kee. The three-minute and three-second record was penned by songwriters including EVAN, GHSTLOOP, GRAY, Jimin, Loco, Pdogg, Steven Franks, and Tommy Brown.

Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) debuted at the No. 1 position on the World Digital Song Sales chart, as confirmed by Billboard through their X account on July 9, 2024. The track emerged as the idol's fifth career solo No. 1 hit on the chart after Vibe, Set Me Free. Pt.2, Like Crazy, and Closer Than This.
With the latest track securing No.88 and No.1 positions on the Billboard Hot 100 and World Digital Song Sales music charts, the fandom celebrated the idol's latest milestone. They shared multiple congratulatory snippets and expressed their pride in BTS Jimin and Loco. Many also bragged about how the second album, Muse, had not been revealed yet and that the idol was already taking the music world by storm.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) also broke the record and became the highest debut by a K-act on Spotify's United States Weekly Top Songs Chart on July 5. The idol emerged as the first Korean soloist to secure the milestone in 2024. The track also topped the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart and European iTunes Song Chart across 100 countries within 24 hours of its release.
It also emerged as the fastest song in 2024 to reach the No. 1 position on the iTunes Top Songs music chart in the eight biggest music markets of iTunes, including Australia, Canada, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) drew inspiration from the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. According to BigHit Music, the lyrics of the track are confessions, as stated in their press release released on June 28, 2024:
"The theme of the lyrics is 'confession.' Jimin drew inspiration from the fictional flower 'Smeraldo,' which symbolizes a sincere heart that couldn't be conveyed,' to complete sweet lyrics that confess love on behalf of those who cannot express their feelings. The sweet lyrics are a confession on behalf of those who cannot express their feelings, helping them find love."
BigHit Music has also announced the opening of the Smeraldo Garden pop-up event to celebrate the release of Jimin's second solo album, Muse. The occasion will be held from July 22, 2024, to July 28, 2024, at 24 Gwangpyeong-ro 34-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The event will incorporate a photo zone and different experiential content based on the theme of the idol's upcoming record.
The agency also disclosed that additional details regarding the operation of the ARMY DAY and other information will be provided to the ARMY Membership holders via a notice later.
The upcoming second solo album, Muse, will shed light on his journey and how he has discovered inspiration. It features seven tracks, including:

BTS Jimin began mandatory military service on December 12, 2023, alongside fellow group member Jungkook. After concluding the five weeks of basic training, he was deployed to the Fifth Infantry Division, where he would serve the remaining period of his service as an active-duty soldier.
The upcoming travel variety show Are You Sure?!, featuring Jimin and Jungkook, will be released on August 8, 2024, through the streaming platform Disney+. It features eight episodes and runs until September 19, 2024.
