BTS' Jimin's ‘WHO’ reportedly becomes second-most added song on U.S. pop/contemporary hit radio playing on 49 different stations

BTS' Jimin has been on a roll lately with his latest solo album, MUSE. The singer officially released his album on July 19, 2024, and his title track WHO, became the second-most added song on U.S. pop/contemporary hit radio.

On August 15, 2024, an award-winning journalist and K-pop columnist, Jeff Benjamin, reported on Jimin’s latest solo. Through an X (formerly Twitter) post, he stated that Jimin’s WHO was played on 49 different stations, this week in the U.S.

WHO is Jimin’s title track from his second solo album, MUSE, the first album being FACE (released on March 24, 2023). This album was made and put together before December 2023, when Jimin was supposed to start his military service. Currently, he is serving his military term.

On Friday, July 19, 2024, the sensational BTS rapper launched the MV of his single ‘WHO’ via the HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel. Currently, the music video of WHO has already crossed 35 million views on YouTube. In the video, Jimin can be seen dancing in the street at night.

Ever since the launch of the song WHO, the singer has constantly marked new milestones. Most recently, on August 14, it became the first K-pop soloist track in 2024 to attain three consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, hitting another record.

WHO featured at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 Excl. US charts. Additionally, Jimin's MUSE solo album ranked No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

WHO hit #1 on the iTunes charts in 110 countries, making BTS' Jimin the first solo artist in 2024 to achieve this feat within 24 hours of the song's official release. The song also topped the iTunes European Worldwide chart. The song's total Spotify streams have topped 255 million, with an additional 22 million coming from its six different versions.

The singer also made the TV debut of WHO with his stunning performance on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show on July 22. His performance was recorded before he joined the military.

Other songs from his MUSE album are Rebirth (Intro), Interlude: Showtime, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (featuring Loco), Slow Dance (featuring Sofia Carson), Closer Than This, and Be Mine.

With his latest album, BTS' Jimin also became the only K-pop artist to have at least 5 songs reach 10 million streams on Spotify South Korea. His five songs that achieved this milestone are WHO, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, Like Crazy, Be Mine, and Closer Than This.

Presently, BTS' Jimin is fulfilling his compulsory military duty, and his discharge is expected to take place somewhere around June 2025. Currently, only Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, from BTS has finished his military term. The remaining members from the band, including Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, J-Hope, and RM, are still serving their time in the military.
