On September 23, 2024, BTS' Park Jimin clinched another title with his latest track, WHO. The song surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify and became the 5th fastest song to achieve this feat in the music streaming platform's history.

WHO is the title track of the artist's second solo album, MUSE, released on July 19, 2024. The set contains 7 songs including the pre-released digital track, Closer Than This, and the pre-release single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO).

Notably, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band was the first track from MUSE that crossed 100 million streams on Spotify. It became the fastest song by a K-pop soloist to reach this milestone in 2024. However, WHO went on beat it to earn second place on the list and amass over 603 million streams as of September 23,.

Currently, the only other track with the highest streams in Jimin's arsenal is Like Crazy from his debut solo album, FACE (2023). Released in March 2023, the song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Jimin the first K-pop soloist to claim the spot. Meanwhile, Like Crazy garnered over 1.288 billion streams on Spotify.


BTS' Jimin's WHO keeps on climbing the heights of success

WHO became the BTS singer's highest-charting solo single in the UK when it debuted at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart on July 26, 2024. It also peaked at No. 1 on the component Digital Song Sales list, giving Jimin a record 6th place on the ranking—the most of any K-pop solo artist and second only to BTS among all K-pop acts.

Furthermore, the song clinched the No. 1 spot in over 110 countries on the first day of its release on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. MUSE album climbed to No. 1 in over 86 countries, including France, Vietnam, Ghana, the United States, and the United Kingdom on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.

On August 3, 2024, WHO became his sixth chart entry as a solo artist and the second-highest debut of his career when it debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, the highest-charting new entry of its release week.

Additionally, the song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 Excl. US charts in July.


In other news, BTS' Park Jimin enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2024. However, he filmed a travel show titled Are You Sure?! with bandmate Jungkook, which is available on Disney+. Meanwhile, the MUSE singer and Jungkook are set to be discharged in June 2025.
