On July 11, 2024, BTS' Jin made headlines as his most recent cover for W Korea Vol. 7, became the best-selling issue across all six major K-pop e-commerce platforms. Jin's cover sold out in less than 30 minutes across Amazon and South Korea's largest e-commerce platform, G-Market, as soon as pre-orders opened on July 10, at 3 PM KST.
Additionally, the cover edition sold out on G-Market, Yes24, Aladin, Kyobobook, Amazon, and Ktown4u and earned an "All-Kill." It held the top three positions on the lists of the three most popular Korean platforms, such as Aladin, Yes24, and Kyobobook, based on real-time sales. The cover took the top four position on Japan's Rakuten in the K-pop best-sellers category.
W Korea released a video clip of the BTS idol's upcoming Vol.7 on July 9 that created an overwhelming pre-order queue. Furthermore, Jin's W Korea cover's "Summer Dreamer" editions (versions A, B, and C) and the combined set topped the best-seller rankings across all major online retailers.

Since his discharge from the military on June 12, 2024, Jin has been busy. He attended the 2024 FESTA event on June 13, meeting 4,000 fans at Jamsil Arena. On July 8, he was seen filming at Posung High School, his alma mater, for a self-produced project.
Jin will also appear on the Korean entertainment show The Half-star Hotel in Lost Island, where he will showcase his talents beyond music. The show's release date hasn't been announced yet, but it involves celebrities turning a wrecked house into a hotel on an uninhabited island.
The Epiphany singer-songwriter was selected as one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics Torch Relay on July 2. The K-pop sensation arrived at Seoul's Incheon airport on July 11 to leave for France for the Olympics.
