The forthcoming episode of Half-Star Hotel on Lost Island shows the BTS idol participating in a variety of activities on a secluded island. He tries fishing but can't seem to catch anything, and later on, he hurts himself doing manual labor. The preview displays the Epiphany singer-songwriter's comic sense and a curiosity for an adventure.
For the unversed, the BTS idol was discharged from the South Korean military on June 12, 2024. He has been busy filming content for several variety shows including Half-Star Hotel on Lost Island which follows the release of Run Jin, scheduled to air on August 13 on BANGTANTV (YouTube).
What to expect from BTS Jin's Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island variety show?
The preview clip opens with BTS winning their first American Music Award (AMA) in 2018 for Favorite Social Artist as their song DNA plays in the background. Following this, the preview shows Jin carrying the Olympic Flame at the Louvre Pyramid on July 14, as one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Then it is followed with montage shots of him cruising on a yacht before he reaches the island and engages in manual labor. He tries to chop bamboo trees, carries several bamboo logs at once as he struggles to walk, tries to taste something, and ends up barfing, and more.
In the video, Jin is also seen diving into the sea to catch fish and failing. The preview clip has increased the anticipation of fans as they can't wait to see the BTS idol showcase his flair and wit on variety shows. Meanwhile, he hurts his thumb finger while trying to hammer a nail on a log. However, fans were endeared to see the cast take care of him.
Furthermore, the BTS idol is set to release his variety show, Run Jin, which is a spin-off of Run BTS!, which will show the BTS idol going on a solo adventure to Jeju Island. The show will air its first episode on August 13, 2024, on the group's official YouTube channel, BANGTANTV.
