BTS Jin confessed the reason he could not run faster during the Olympic torch relay
On Monday, Jin started a Weverse livestream for his fans. Clad in a denim-themed blue-colored jacket styled with a white top underneath it, the K-pop idol began by talking about his appearance as a torchbearer at the Summer Olympics 2024. He carefully showcased ARMYs golden ring located between the torch and stated the following:
"Yesterday, I did the torch relay, and they gave me this *Shows certificate/paper/ and golden ring*, this is what's in between the torch, and they gave me this." (translated by X user @miiniyoongs)
BTS Jin further expressed his gratitude to fans who appeared at the multisport opening ceremony commemoration and relay to support him. He stated that watching fans at the event provided him with much-needed strength, and it cheered him. The singer further confessed that he wanted to run. However, there was a time set for the torch relay for each person, and as a result, he had to walk.
Jin then went on to say that it was a 1.5-kilometer walk, and the torch was neither heavy nor hot. However, it felt a bit longer than expected for him. He further confessed that he was confused about how he should express himself through facial features, stating that he wanted to smile but became nervous.
The BTS member concluded his gratitude about participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics as it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and stated, as translated by X user @miiniyoongs:
"But I'm happy overall since I was able to wrap it up well. Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity that is a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
The idol also disclosed during the live broadcast that he was working on his upcoming solo album, recording songs, attending meetings, and occupied with other activities. He added that when he talked about releasing an album, the idol received 4000-5000 song submissions to select from and was asked whether he liked any of the tracks offered.
