On July 31, 2024, the South Korean media outlet Pax Economic TV reported that BTS' Jin emerged as a crucial factor in the increase in the sales of Ottogi Ramyeon. According to the report, Ottogi's Jin Ramyeon has started gaining international recognition and attention from global consumers after Kim Seok-jin was appointed as its model in 2022.

For those unversed, Ottogi Corporation is one of the renowned domestic food manufacturing companies with its headquarters in Anyang, South Korea. The company is in Seoul and listed under the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI). They offer a wide range of products, including Ottogi Curry, Tomato Ketchup, 3 Minutes Meals, Mayonnaise, Cooked Rice, Jin Ramen, Ottogi Frozen Pizza, and other goods.


BTS' Jin has increased the sales of Ottogi Ramen's US subsidiary

Due to the international impact and influence of the male artist, the sales of the United States subsidiary of Ottogi Ramen have witnessed a significant increase. The noodle brand Ottogi's Ramen recorded an increase in sales in the first half of 2023 by 20.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.

South Korea's food manufacturing giant Ottogi announced BTS' Jin as the new advertising model on November 9, 2022. He modeled for the famous Jin Ramen brand and was featured in the November 11, 2022, commercial. Since then, Ottogi Ramen has witnessed increased social media visibility, engagement, and sales.

Following the idol's collaboration with the food manufacturing giant, Ottogi Ramen's exports witnessed a significant rise in their sales. The ramen exports reached $208 million, the highest ever recorded in the first quarter of the brand's history. The sales in the first quarter of 2023 were reported to be 856,784 billion won, an increase of 15.4% from the same period since last year.

Ottogi's US subsidiary also recorded an exorbitant amount of 26.6 billion won in sales in the first quarter of 2023. The numbers see an increase of 40% from last year, per the reports published by the South Korean media outlet Star News on June 20, 2023.

The operating profit also increased 10.7% from the last year and stood at 65.371 billion won. Moreover, the noodle brand also joined Nexon in the Trillion Won club after collaborating with BTS' Jin.


In recent news, BigHit Music has confirmed that BTS' Jin will launch his own entertainment variety solo program, Run, Seokjin, on July 31, 2024. The agency disclosed that the idol would appear on the show starting August 13, 2024, where he would challenge himself in diverse fields with the mindset 'I can do anything' to reciprocate the love received from ARMYs.

The episode would air every Tuesday at 9 pm Korean Standard Time on the South Korean social media platform Weverse and the BTS's official YouTube Channel.
