BTS Jin is reportedly called the ‘HYBE's Savior’ due to his influence on the stock market before and after his military service. On July 5, South Korean media agency HanKyung reported that Daol Investments & Securities had lowered the estimated stock price of HYBE from 280K KRW to 260K KRW. The investment company reportedly stated that the operational profits of the agency are expected to decline because of the generational change in major Intellectual Property (IP).

However, Daol Investments & Securities’ opinion on investment has remained unchanged, as the stock price is anticipated to rise if BTS’ Jin drops an album or makes a solo music release in the fourth quarter of this year.

According to JTBC, Jin is referred to as HYBE's Savior due to his reported influence on the stock market. Kim Hye-young, a searcher at Daol Investments & Securities, stated,

“BTS has strengths in terms of performance stability, which is different from existing entertainment industry practices, such as releasing a solo album even during their military service.”

He further added,

“Jin was discharged from military service in June, and an album is expected to be released in the fourth quarter. From then on, the stock price is expected to rise due to expectations of a full group release.”

BTS’ Jin is likely to influence the rise in HYBE’s stock price with a reported potential music release in the fourth quarter

The eldest member of BTS, Jin, was discharged from his military service on June 12, 2024, garnering attention from fans all across the globe. The BTS member served 18 months to fulfill his national duties, and his solo single The Astronaut was the last music release by Jin before he enlisted back in December 2022.

Anticipation for his solo music is at an all-time high, and notably, he is the only member of the septet yet to release a solo album. The overall album sales in the K-pop industry have reportedly witnessed a decline in the first half of this year. The album sales allegedly went down by 17 percent due to other BTS members enlistment in 2023, including Suga and Jimin.

According to Hankyung, Daon Investments & Securities reportedly stated that HYBE achieved an operating profit of 67.2 billion KRW in the second quarter, which is a 17.8 percent decline in comparison to the operating profit recorded last year. It is estimated to further dip below the securities firms’ average estimate.

On the other hand, the situation is expected to get better in the second half of this year, as Jin will reportedly release his solo music. BIGHIT MUSIC is yet to confirm the reports concerning the Moon singer's solo album.

Jin's upcoming activities

On July 3, BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed that the BTS vocalist is set to participate in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics as a torchbearer. He is set to join thousands of notable individuals who have immensely contributed to society with their work. The scheduled date and timing for Jin's Olympic Torch Relay are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Jin will also be appearing on the MBC variety show The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island as a guest worker. The Epiphany singer has completed filming the variety show episode, as confirmed by MBC. The exact release date of The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, featuring Jin, is yet to be disclosed.
