On June 16, the latest episode of the South Korean variety show Running Man was released, dropping alleged hints at a future appearance of BTS Jin. During this episode, Ji Suk-jin, a South Korean comedian and singer, made a special appearance.

When one of the Running Man cast members brought up BTS Jin's discharge, Ji Suk-jin shared an anecdote. He expressed that he had received a text from the idol a while ago. In that text, the idol requested to be invited to the variety show after his discharge.

The singer and comedian stated:

"I got a text from him back then. He asked to make sure he could appear on 'Running Man' once he gets out. I told him, 'We would be very grateful for that.'"

Given that the idol was discharged on June 12, and Running Man's latest episode revealed the idol's text, fans believe his appearance on the show is just around the corner. Regardless, there hasn't been any confirmation or official statement about this yet.

Ji Suk-jin hints at the possible appearance of BTS Jin on Running Man

In the latest episode of Running Man, Ji Suk-jin made a special appearance after a long time, despite not being a regular cast member. During the episode, the members were playing a board game when Kim Jong-kook paused to address the topic of BTS Jin's military discharge to Ji Suk-jin.

The recording date of the Running Man episode was two days before the idol's discharge, and therefore, they celebrated his then-upcoming discharge. The topic of BTS Jin's discharge was brought up because Ji Suk-jin and Jin had a Seokjin vs Seokjin match in a previous Running Man episode released in October 2022. This was because their first names were similar.

However, after they finished celebrating, Ji Suk-jin expressed that he had exciting news regarding the idol's possible reappearance on Running Man. Following the alleged hints dropped by Ji Suk-jin, fans have been excited about the idol's kickstart of activities in the industry.

On the other hand, the idol was discharged from his mandatory military service on June 12, following the completion of his 18-month enlistment. BTS Jin, following his basic military training period, served as an active drill instructor. He enlisted in December 2022, soon after the release of his solo debut single, The Astronaut.

After his discharge, the idol has already kicked off his schedule as a solo artist. Recently, he rolled out a Light Hug event at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium on account of BTS' 11th debut anniversary. In the event, 1000 ARMYs were chosen randomly through a raffle conducted on Weverse, and they received a light hug from the idol.

Additionally, the event was followed up by a secondary event where the idol performed his solo tracks and rolled out famous TikTok challenges. In other news, BTS Jin is also scheduled to roll out his solo album in the second half of 2024.
