BTS' Jin’s GUCCI show departure photograph voted as the “Number 1 photo in 2024” by the Japanese

On Monday, December 23, the Japanese voted BTS' Jin’s photo as the “Number 1 photo in 2024.” The Running Wild singer was ranked #1 by his Japanese fans on Danmee’s recent K-pop Idol survey.

The questionnaire prepared by Danmee conducted the survey and poll for a list of 30 carefully selected photos of K-pop idols. BTS' Jin’s GUCCI show departure photo was selected for voting in the poll.

The image included in the Danmee questionnaire was captured at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 on September 18. Kim Seokjin, who was discharged from the military on June 12, 2024, re-entered the music industry on November 15 with his first independent album, HAPPY.

BTS' Jin attended the fashion show of the premium brand GUCCI on this day amidst his hectic schedule. He appears to have departed for Lia Milan.

Among 30 selected photos, Jin’s picture received 1,565 votes, equivalent to 39.75% of the total.

Danmee frequently conducts questionnaires on different themes for Japanese netizens. The theme of the latest questionnaire was “K-POP Idol Edition.” The survey period started on December 3, 2024, and continued until December 17, 2024, for 30 K-pop idols’ photos. 3,937 valid respondents filled out the questionnaire. Each respondent was restricted to one vote.

While BTS’ Jin took the first spot, Kim Jae-joon was placed in the #2 spot. Further, Yunho, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo, and TohoShinki’s Changmin occupied the #3, #4, and #5 spots, respectively.

In other news, BTS' Jin emerged as an influential Korean global superstar in the recently released overseas online keyword analysis report. The singer was described as a Korean global superstar based on his online keyword mention status in a word cloud of Asian nations.

The survey emphasized K-food's global impact and online references while identifying BTS' Jin as a significant keyword associated with K-pop musicians in nations such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Additionally, on December 10, Korean media source Naver reported that BTS' Jin's first solo album, HAPPY, was certified Platinum by the RIAJ for sales of more than 250,000 units in Japan. Seokjin has received his first Platinum certification as a solo artist. His solo track, Astronaut, which was released in 2021, previously obtained Gold certification from the RIAJ.
