BTS' Kim Seok-jin's appearance on the Japanese reality show, I Love Everyone’s Zoo, drew in over 8.8 million viewers. South Korean media outlet Seoul Shinmun reported on September 2, 2024, that the broadcast, 24-Hour TV, which hosts the show I Love Everyone’s Zoo, witnessed a 19.7% increase in its viewership ratings between August 31 and September 1.

BTS' Jin was featured as a special guest on I Love Everyone's Zoo alongside the show host Arashi—a Japanese idol from the band Masaki Aiba. The episode was filmed in South Korea and showcased the BTS singer and Arashi bathing and grooming street dogs before handing them to pet shelters.

All the proceeds from the show's viewership and the sale of the T-shirt worn by Jin and Arashi were donated to charity. For the unversed, since 1978, Nippon Television (Nittere channel) airs a '24-Hour TV' marathon broadcast each August. It is a charity show that runs for 24 hours with different segments including unique skits starring disabled people, and special broadcasts with well-known celebrities.

On June 12, 2024, BTS' Kim Seok-jin was discharged from the Republic of Korea Army. He enlisted on December 13, 2022, after releasing his debut solo single, The Astronaut, on October 28, 2022. The track was a collaboration between the BTS idol and the British band, Coldplay. He also performed the song live during Coldplay's Argentina concert on October 28, 2022.

After his military discharge, the BTS singer was spotted filming for reality show content at Posung Boys High School on July 7, 2024. Later, the episode was officially aired on August 20 as episode 2 of his personal reality show, RUN JIN. The show is a spin-off of BTS' Run BTS! and BTS In The Soop variety shows.

Apart from this, the Epiphany singer-songwriter was also featured as a special guest on MBC's reality show Half-star Hotel in Lost Island episodes 15 and 16. Both episodes were aired on MBC's website on August 19 and 26, 2024.

The reality show showcased the BTS idol traveling to a remote island, helping soccer legend Ahn Jung-hwan renovate an abandoned building and cook meals for the locals. The show cast also included celebrity chef Lee Yeon-bok, B1A4's Sandeul, Boom, and Kim Dae-ho, among others.


In other news, the BTS singer-songwriter is set to release his debut solo album by the end of 2024.
